Reflection

Outside looking in or inside looking out?
The outsider feels no control of the inner world.
Just as the insider believes themselves separate
from the outside world.
The entire time one is reflecting the other.
In a mirror — you can not see what is in front of you
or on the other side of the mirror.
Yet within the mirror you can look as far behind
you as the eye can see.
Rather than look the reflection in the face,
we get so caught up on what’s behind us
and what’s beyond us.
Learn to be in the Now.
Dream of the future.
Recall what has brought you to this point.
And revel in the beautiful disaster that is your
present moment.
